Embracing Failure: Student Session

This workshop is geared towards students and will be held at Lakehead University.

As students we continually test new ideas, which inevitably leads to both successes and failures. While successes are easy to share and embrace, talking about failure is much more difficult; but done well, it can generate important insights and accelerate innovation. With an emphasis on audience interaction and involvement, this session explores principles and practices that help us to embrace failure and maximize learning.

Speaker Bio:

Ashely Good

Ashley worked in Cairo with the United Nations Environment Programme and as a management consultant in Vancouver. In both lines of work, she saw a fear of failure inhibit innovation, adaptation, and performance. In response, she launched the consulting firm, Fail Forward, to spark a shift in how we perceive and talk about failure, and to help organizations learn, innovate and build resilience.
