Broadband and Cellular Projects

The NWO Innovation Centre has been championing regional projects that address the gaps in high-speed Internet connectivitdy and cellular coverage in Northwestern Ontario. With the support of private sector partners, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and FedNor, six projects have been funded. We feel it is important to continue to address the gaps in connectivity because of the impact on safety, quality of life, and economic diversification and sustainability.
