Youth Effect 2021 Summer Recap

Youth Effect 2021 Summer Recap

Our 6th Youth Effect cohort has come to an end! This summer we had 9 companies complete the program in Northwestern Ontario. This cohort was different than past years due to COVID-19, but everyone adjusted to the changing times with the program being run virtually. Throughout this cohort the youth virtually attended an orientation, 2-day retreat, and 3 workshops to learn about entrepreneurship, leadership, social media marketing and more. The projects completed over the 15-week course varied greatly from market research to marketing and branding. Below is an overview of each project completed by the youth employee over the program.

Amik - Deirdre

Deirdre worked on creating an online helpdesk system for Amik Technology’s products. The system she built has the capabilities of creating a work ticket and has a strong information system related to typical helpdesk inquiries. Deirdre has stayed on with Amik in a part time role to continue her work.
