The ProtoZone program will give you a crash course in product and business development, a crucial new product assessment, and assistance towards the design and development of your prototype.









Program Overview
ProtoZone
So you have an innovative idea! Now all you need is to get made. That’s not a simple task but luckily for you, the ProtoZone program is here to help you get started with a prototype. It starts by looking at the viability of your idea, both from a customer perspective and scalability perspective, and ends with a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) to move your idea forward. The focus of the program is to support innovative product development and commercialization by providing the right technical and business support, ensuring product-market fit throughout the product development process, and assisting innovative entrepreneurs and small businesses find the necessary funding programs associated with successful product development.
The ProtoZone program consists of weekly training, customer interaction, peer-to-peer learning, and experienced mentors to help you along the way. The full course is 4 sessions in total and each week builds on the previous week.
Participants who successfully complete the Trailblazer program and have an innovative business or manufacturing a product in Northwestern Ontario can apply to the Next Level funding which will cover up to 50% funding, up to $10,000 in assistance towards approved costs in the eligible categories.
