Program Overview

This program empowers SMEs to integrate and adopt emerging AI technologies through tailored training, hands-on mentorship, and strategic funding support.

Our AI-building support focuses on the following key areas:

  • Productivity Enhancement
  • Operation Efficiency
  • Business Competitiveness

The program will host a five expert-led workshops, two mentorship sessions, and your own AI Adoption Blueprint, built with you, for your business. The program may also provide eligible approved projects with up to $20,000 at a 50% cost-share.

Eligible AI adoption projects may receive up to $20K in 50% cost-share funding.

The program is open to growth-oriented, for-profit SMEs such as sole proprietorships, partnerships, or corporations. Your business must be actively operating and focused on growth.

Your business must be located and operating within Northwestern Ontario.

No. Businesses that primarily act as distributors, resellers, or operate retail-only models are not eligible.

No. Projects that are already in progress or finished before the application date are not eligible.

Projects must focus on integrating AI-driven technologies that improve productivity, efficiency, customer experience, or competitiveness. Examples include but not limited to predictive maintenance, AI-powered analytics, chatbots, and smart ordering systems.

Yes. The maximum grant is 50% of eligible project costs, up to $20,000. You pay the service provider upfront and submit for reimbursement.

Required documents include business registration or articles of incorporation, a detailed project scope, quotes from service providers with scope of work and rates, and a completed application form.

Applications are assessed based on measurable business impact, innovation, project readiness, alignment with regional priorities, and ecosystem contributions.

Applications must be submitted by January 23, 2026. Early consultation with NOIC is strongly recommended due to limited program slots.

Participants must provide a 250–400-word summary highlighting key training outcomes and measurable improvements resulting from the program.
