Program Overview
TechKids Camp
Tech Kids is an engaging program designed to inspire and educate kids between the ages 9-12 about technology and innovation. Our interactive half-day PD Day Camp teaches kids how to program robots! They will be joined by a real roboticist to learn how to program robots that can dance, recognize faces, play music and more. You will also be a part of using Synthiam’s latest education software!
Our full week camp participants explore exciting subjects like robotics, coding, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). The program empowers young minds to develop problem-solving skills, foster creativity, and gain confidence in navigating the rapidly evolving world of technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is drop off/pick up during the camp?
You will be dropping your child off at the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre (2400 Nipigon Rd) ** Children are required to be signed-in and out by an adult in the office at the time off pick up and drop off. **
Drop off will be between 8:30 am – 9:00 am.
For the PD Day camp, the day ends at 12:00 p.m. but there will be supervision and self-directed activities until 12:30 p.m.
For the full week camp, the day ends at 4:00 p.m. but there will be supervision and self-directed activities until 4:30 p.m.
What qualifications do facilitators have?
Our facilitators have been recently training in Standard First Aid and CPR. Also, Police Reference Checks have been conducted on our facilitator and volunteers of the TechKids Camp.
What types of activities are at the camp?
Tech Kids Camps have a variety of fun and educational activities including coding, robotics, circuity, 3D printing and other STEAM activities!
