Join us for this interactive session where we will discuss 3 emerging agriculture advancements. We will explore what’s coming in bio pesticides, traceability technology and plant growth promotion. This workshop will be led by researchers and entrepreneurs currently developing and commercializing these new innovations.

10:30AM Presentation by Leonardo Solorzano
CEO of Telica Microbials & Co-founder of TagTrace
Agronomist, from the National University of Colombia, MSc in Plant Nutrition from the Cartagena Polytechnic University(Spain), and MBA from INALDE Business School (Colombia). Leonardo has more than 20 years of experience in Agribusiness, including the commercialization of agricultural inputs, plant nutrition management, research and development and Technology Transfer. Before he moved to Canada to found Telica Microbials and TagTrace, he was Director of the Tibaitatá Research Centre and Director of Technology Transfer and Adoption for the Colombian Corporation of Agricultural Research, AGROSAVIA (2014-2019).
11:30AM Presentation by Amber Kivisto
President and COO of BioNorth
Amber began her career as a Registered Nurse graduating with honours, from Confederate College. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Biology, from Lakehead University. Amber is currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Biotechnology (Lakehead University), taking a hiatus to pursue the launch of BioNorth Solutions. In her spare time Amber enjoys time with family and friends, her 4 active dogs, and all things water.
