By becoming an Innovator Member of the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, you will have access to experts, events and programs that will assist you in developing your idea, business or innovative project. A description of the services offered to members are listed below:
Business Advisory Services
Members will receive access to our team of experts in order to effectively grow their business. Assistance can be attained in business planning, bookkeeping, financial budgeting and forecasting. (12 free hours of service with 1 year membership)
Market Assessments and Development
We will work directly with our member companies to assist them in the development and implementation of sales strategies. Our staff will recommend strategies to successfully bring products and services to the marketplace. We can also assist in the creation of a professional business image that fits with your strategy.
Market Research and Focus Group Facilitation
We will assist companies in seeking out new markets for their products. This assistance can be implemented through the following: focus group development and facilitation, market research, surveys, report writing, and innovation project management.
Export Development services will assist companies in accessing a network of government and private sector groups offering a wide range of international business development programs, information, and services. The key areas of services available include: education and information, assessment of export readiness, research and market intelligence, contacts and networks in target markets.
Product Development Services
Utilizing a strategic approach to developing new products, our team will work with innovators from concept to successful launch.
We will work with members to connect them to the appropriate sources of seed and venture capital, help in preparing business plans to seek funding, accessing government support programs when applicable, matching of angel investors, and third party negotiation assistance. This includes assistance in preparing our member to be “capital ready”.
Advanced IT Training Centre
Members may participate in advanced training and certification programs like Cisco, Linux, Microsoft Applications and .Net at substantial discounts or rent the lab for internal training and other needs – all at a preferred rate!
Through our past experience, contacts and skills, our team can effectively organize events for our members. These events could include: conferences, workshops, seminars, keynote dinners events, press conferences and professional development activities. Our staff can create marketing materials, organize the venue, create and organize a marketing campaign, facilitate payment logistics, and manage the day of the event.
On-site and remote learning opportunities such as seminars and workshops are provided on a per-need basis. Content is selected through consultation with member companies.
